The Pheasant tail nymph is a simple pattern that has been fished forever. This time a friend of mine who has an extensive materials selection suggested I tie a few with this Lady Amherst Tail Feather. I really like the way they turned out. The spots on the feather add some great contrast in the body of the fly and the legs. I fooled around with different bead colors and added some hot spots to some of them. Made the pattern a lot more fun to tie this winter.
